Fly high in the underwater world of Remotely Operated Vehicles. A career as a ROV pilot/technician offers you the unique experience to combine your engineering, technology, computer and science skills in an oceans environment. Our program, the only one of its kind in Canada, provides you with a solid grounding in electronics and mechanical technology through classroom, simulation and work place training to operate, maintain, and repair ROV systems. Your success will come from your knowledge of a wide range of work class vehicles, aptitude to perform ROV maintenance, understanding of specialized ROV systems, ability to work safely in difficult oceans environments, and talent to pilot or “fly” these underwater robots.
This two-year program is comprised of four thirteen week academic terms, two technical sessions and an eight week work term. |
